George Stephen Herr, Jr.

HERR, GEORGE S. JR. of Warren, passed away November 6, 2024 at 74 years of age. Father of Debbie, Marie, and George III. He was also a grandfather. George is survived by his brother Robert (Vivian), his sister Robin Stachowiak, and caregiver Melissa Bishop. Preceding him in death were his brother in law Daniel, and brothers Michael and Joseph. George was a graduate of Clarkston High School and worked for the railroad for many years. He was fortunate to have his family ride the Freedom Train that toured the United States in 1975- 1976 commemorating the Bicentennial. A true dare devil with no filters George loved cruising in his 1960 Chevy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with family. A real animal lover of cats and dogs, including Hunter, Rascal, Bingo, Max, and Bandit, just to name a few. But all in all, George was a pistol who was very sweet on the inside. A character who will never be replaced. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 12:30 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON. Burial will follow at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Family will receive friends Saturday 11:30 AM until time of service.
