Gary D. Norman

Gary D. Norman, age 77, passed away doing what he loved on June 17, 2026. Born on July 22, 1948, to the late Byford E. Norman and the late Loveta Norman, Gary lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.

For 34 years, Gary dedicated himself to General Motors, where he worked as a skilled Metal Model Maker before retiring. He took immense pride in his craft and was respected for his talent, work ethic, and attention to detail. The same dedication he brought to his profession was reflected throughout every aspect of his life.

Gary was a devoted father to Heather (Jason) Roback, the late Angela Norman, and his beloved bonus daughter, Letitia (Billy) Lemaster. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Kayla (Mike), Michael (fiancée Cheyenne), Gabriel (Haley), and Lana (Aiden). His greatest joy was watching his family grow, and he cherished his role as great-grandfather to Dylan, Elijah, Isabella, Jackson, Ariella, Parker, and Lilliana.

To those who knew him best, Gary was the family's handyman and problem solver. He was truly a jack of all trades—the one everyone called when something needed fixing. Whether he was working as a mechanic, plumber, electrician, carpenter, or simply lending a helping hand, Gary could always be counted on. He approached every task with patience, skill, and a generous spirit. He was a giver, never a taker, and found genuine happiness in helping others.

Beyond his work and talents, Gary had a deep appreciation for the things he loved most. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course and was an active member of three golf leagues, proudly serving as organizer of one of them. He loved hunting, admired classic cars, and treasured the friendships and memories made through these passions. Yet above all else, Gary loved his family. His greatest accomplishments were not measured in years worked or projects completed, but in the countless lives he touched through his kindness, guidance, and unconditional love.

Gary's legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many people fortunate enough to have known him. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his willingness to help anyone in need, his quiet strength, and the love he so freely shared.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at COATS FUNERAL HOME - WATERFORD from 10:30-1:00 pm. Family sharing will take place at 1:00 pm with burial following at Crescent Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to support veterans through VA Hospitals, a cause close to Gary's heart.
