Eileen Mae Decker, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished nanny, and faithful friend, peacefully passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 90 in Waterford, Michigan. Born in Deckerville, Michigan, Eileen was the daughter of the late Purdon R. and Alma Irene Wilson (nee McCully). Eileen graduated from Deckerville High School in 1952 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, James Robert Decker, on June 6th of the same year. They shared a beautiful union of 62 years filled with love, laughter, and companionship until James passed away.
Eileen was a dedicated mother to her children, Robert (Kathy Depetro) Decker and Marilyn Mullins. She was a special grandmother to Clinton (Nicole) and Curtis (Alissa) Mullins, Gwen, and Whitney Decker. Great Nana to Nolan, Griffin, CJ, and Grady. Dearest sister of Ruth Ann Henry and Gordon Wilson. Eileen also cherished her role as a nanny, caring for Erin and Ryan Chivers and Lauren and Kyle Stout, and then her grandchildren over her 30-year career. Throughout her life, Eileen found joy in caring for others, which was evident in her work as a nanny and her nurturing presence in her family's lives. Eileen was preceded in death by parents, her husband, James Robert Decker, and sister Mary (the late Eugene Moore) and brother-in-law Eugene Henry. She is now reunited with her cherished fur baby, Lola, whom she adored.
Friends and family are invited to honor Eileen's life at a funeral service on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 12 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME in Waterford, Michigan. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the time of the service. Following the service, Eileen will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
