Earl O. Luttenberger of Waterford passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 23, 1952, to Edward and Helen Luttenberger He was the cherished brother of Edward (Gloria), Eileen (Al) Young, and the late Dorothy Luttenberger.
For 49 wonderful years, he was the devoted husband of Pamela (née Stewart), with whom he built a life centered on faith, family, and love. Together they raised three sons—Kristopher (Taylor), Ben, and Eric, and many foster children. He found special joy in becoming a grandfather to Kaden, Kolt, and Kennidi. Earl was also a loving uncle to Gloria, Theresa and Michael.
Earl dedicated 35 years of loyal service to AT&T before retiring, and in retirement, he remained an active and beloved member of his community. He was a faithful attendee of Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston and joyfully led AWANA games at Five Points Community Church, Auburn Hills.
Earl’s life was rich with adventure and meaning—from summers spent at Erlinson Ranch to peaceful fishing trips at Lake Oba in Canada. He was an avid on-line gamer and loved reading science fiction.
In his youth, Earl was active in Boy Scouts and proudly rose to Master Councilor of the Lake Orion Chapter of DeMolay International. Earl was a proud graduate of Lake Orion High School, Class of 1969.
Earl will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, a doting grandfather, and a steady friend. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled, the laughter he shared, and the warmth of his presence. He will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Coats Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Coats Funeral Home, beginning at 11:00 AM. A brunch will follow the service at Maranatha Baptist Church in Clarkston.
