WYANT, DONALD J. “DON”, of Waterford, passed away on June 26, 2026, at 78 years of age.
Don was the loving husband of Judy (née Smith) for 59 wonderful years; devoted father of Don Wyant and the late Tara Wyant; proud grandfather of Amber (Miles) and Britny (Kyle); and cherished great-grandfather of Lilly, Victor, Blake, Ayanna, and Colson. One of eight, Don was born in Pontiac, Michigan to William and Mary (nee Elliott) Wyant.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Don served his country with honor before beginning a long career with General Motors. He retired after 28 years of service as a skilled welder, taking pride in a job well done and in providing for his family.
Don enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, where he appreciated the peace and camaraderie that came with time spent in the woods. He also embraced technology and formed lasting friendships through online gaming, spending countless hours laughing and competing with friends from near and far.
An accomplished cook, Don loved preparing meals for his family and took pleasure in sharing good food with the people he loved. Whether in the kitchen or around the dinner table, he found joy in bringing people together.
Known for his quick wit, Don had a wonderful sense of humor and a seemingly endless supply of one-liners that were always on the tip of his tongue. He had a knack for making others laugh and could brighten any gathering with a perfectly timed joke or clever remark.
Above all, Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who treasured his family. He will be deeply missed for his humor, his kindness, and the many happy memories he created with those who loved him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on in their hearts forever.
