Diana Lee Williams, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026. She was born on December 27, 1942, in Pontiac, MI to the late Leo and Ruby Frizzle.
Diana was the beloved wife of George Henry Williams for 56 wonderful years until his passing in 2021. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, laughter, and family, raising two children, Michelle (Bill) McArthur and Tim (Marie) Williams.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Shane McArthur, Holly McArthur, Estefanita Williams, Jonathon Williams, and Marco Williams, each of whom brought endless joy to her life.
Diana was raised alongside her eight sisters and shared a close bond with her large family throughout her life. She is survived by Wanda (Ed) Stanley, Gail (Rufus) Gage, and Janet (the late Bill) McCarthar. She was preceded in death by her sisters Beverly Schelske, Rita Tucker, Linda Rushing, Maxine Garnett, and Joy Purdy.
A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Diana spent many years as a dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church before later becoming a member of The River Church. She lovingly served as a Sunday School teacher and opened her heart and home as a babysitter to many children throughout the years. Her kindness, humor, and nurturing spirit left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Diana was also known for her remarkable work ethic. During her 27 years with General Motors, she earned the admiration of many, often outworking those around her with determination and grit. She carried herself with strength, resilience, and a spirited sass that made her unforgettable.
Those who knew Diana will remember her as fun-loving, tough, fiercely caring, and deeply faithful. Her laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Though her family grieves her loss deeply, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with the love of her life and resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.
A memorial service will be held at The River Church- Waterford on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Family will receive friends from 10am - 11am, with the service beginning at 11am.
