Dennis LeRoy Staton

STATON, DENNIS “LEROY,” “COUNTRY”; age 69 of Waterford, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born on March 25, 1953 in Pontiac. LeRoy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Judy Staton; children: Michelle Staton, Sarah (Robert Lawrence) Staton, and Kevin (Meagan) Staton; grandchildren: Markeis, Robert, Darrick, Brandon, and Ja’Corey; siblings: Michael (Sharon) Staton, Barb McClellan, Mary (Mike) Wright, and Patti Ann Kidd; and his loyal dog, Anna. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Donaldson; grandfather and father-figure, William Shenberger; and his sister, Sandy (Al) Zuck.  LeRoy retired from the City of Pontiac and cared for his daughter and grandsons.  He loved the Detroit Tigers, collecting, hunting, fishing, cruising Pontiac and classic rock, especially Jimi Hendrix and Kid Rock.  He was a self-taught Mr. Fix-it and always had that part to fix your car and if he didn’t have it, he knew a guy who did.  He was known to talk your ear off and you never met a person quite like him.
