Dennis Alan Sanford

Dennis A. Sanford passed peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Clarkston at the age of 63.

Dennis was the beloved husband of Tami Sanford. Loving father of Christopher (Lori) Sanford and Brian (Sara) Sanford. Proud grandfather of Tyler Justin Sanford. Dear brother of David (Cindy) Sanford and the late R.D. Isaac. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Carolyn Clark.

Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a skilled machine builder, earning the respect of those who worked alongside him through his dedication and craftsmanship.

In his free time, Dennis enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, cheering on his favorite college football teams, and watching NASCAR races. He had a lifelong appreciation for rock and roll music, with Pink Floyd holding a special place among his favorites. More than anything, Dennis cherished the time he spent with his family and the memories they created together.

Friends may visit on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, where military honors will be rendered in recognition of his faithful service to our country.

Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, quiet strength, and love for those closest to him will be remembered always.
