Dennis Raymond Hill

HILL, DENNIS R. of Waterford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 6, 2024 at 72 years of age. Loving husband of Lori (née Berryman) for 40 years; beloved father of Austin Hill (Ashlee) and Shelby (Zach) Johnson; papa of Grayson, Jackson, Scarlett, and Quinn; brother of Jerry Hill, Roger “Doc” (Linda) Hill, Bobby (Marie) Hill, the late Susan Sizemore, and the late Sandy McCormick. A graduate of Avondale Schools, Dennis retired from GM Orion Plant in 2001 after 32 years of service. Working third shift for GM gave Dennis the opportunity to do all the things he loved to do. Top of his list, umpire and referee for Michigan High School Athletic Association, something he loved and did for almost 50 years. He was an avid golfer and a huge Detroit sports fan.  Very social and laid back, Dennis was the softy when it came to his children. He was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He could hold a conversation with anyone and always met someone he knew wherever he went. His warm and open smile and zest for life will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 13, 2025 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial follows at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Family will receive friends Sunday 1-5 PM.
