Dean Earl Jacobson, of Waterford, passed away on November 9, 2025, at 95 years of age. He was born on November 15, 1929 in Pontiac, Michigan, to loving parents CL and Dorothy Jacobson (née Hamilton).
Dean graduated from Pontiac Central High School and went on to lead a life marked by hard work, perseverance, and a quiet, kind strength. He worked at Ford in the tractor division until experiencing a stroke in his thirties. Determined and resilient, he later worked with his father as a mechanic and spent time working in a junkyard. Dean could tinker with anything and put it back together—truly a lifelong car enthusiast with a remarkable talent for fixing the unfixable. A man of faith, Dean attended Four Towns Methodist Church whenever he was able. He was known for his sharp memory, quick wit, and warm personality. In his later years, he especially enjoyed sitting on the porch during nice weather, waving to neighbors and passersby, sharing simple moments of connection that spoke volumes about his spirit.
Dean leaves behind his children: Dean (Ruby) Jacobson, Nancy Stockenour, Patricia (Dan) Boucher, and Margaret (Ron) Uptegraft; his siblings Russ (Barb) Jacobson and Maryann Peters; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and really good friend Jimmy Long. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mitzi Jacobson, and his third wife, Ethel Jacobson. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
