David L. Foust

David L. Foust, 87, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away on September 14, 2024.

David was born on December 31, 1936, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Pansy (Daniels) Foust. At the age of 17, he proudly enlisted in the Marines, where he served his country with honor. Following his discharge, David became a jack of all trades, eventually finding his path as a truck driver for Central Transport, from which he retired.

After retirement, David pursued his passion for golf by working at several golf courses, a role that allowed him to enjoy the sport he loved. Golfing with friends brought him immense joy. When he wasn't on the golf course, David could be found working on his Corvette, fishing, or traveling. He cherished his vacations, dining out, and trips to Florida to bask in the sunshine. David also enjoyed taking his children to Whittemore Speedway to watch the races.

A devout Christian, David found great solace and peace in his faith.

David is survived by his children, Christine (John) Cooperrider and Cheryl (Dennis Kee) Ziegler; four beloved grandchildren; two cherished great-grandchildren, with another on the way; and his siblings, Jr. (Barb) Foust and Gerri Ruby, along with many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Pansy Foust; his beloved son, Davy Foust; and his great-grandchild Ishmael.

A funeral service to honor David’s life will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Rd., Waterford, Michigan. The service will begin at 12:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM. A cemetery service will follow at Christian Memorial Gardens West.
