TROXELL, DARRYL ALLEN passed away September 2, 2024 at 61 years of age. Born on March 2, 1963 in Pontiac, Michigan and was the beloved son of the late Donald Kenneth and Barbara JoAnne Troxell (née Wright). Darryl was a cherished father to his daughter, Hope Feijoo-Troxell. He was a devoted brother to Timothy Mark Troxell and the late Steven Kenneth Troxell, and a proud uncle to Jade, India, Ciara, Nicholas, and Reina. In 1981 Darryl graduated from Waterford Kettering High School where he excelled as an athlete. His remarkable talent in football earned him a full ride scholarship to Michigan State University (MSU). Darryl continued his football career by playing semi-pro for two years during which he won a championship ring. He was the epitome of an athlete achieving All-State honors in football and track and setting a state record in shot-put that still stands today. After his athletic career Darryl worked as a truck driver for over 20 years demonstrating the same dedication and hard work that he applied to his sports. His resilience and commitment were evident in every aspect of his life. A family man, sportsman, and a man for Hooters hot wings, Darryl will be remembered not only for his athletic achievements but also for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the love he had for his family and friends. His legacy of excellence and determination will continue to inspire those who knew him. Funeral service will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 at 9:30 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
