Danny Lee Orders, born December 7, 1950, in Pontiac, Michigan, passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 74.
A proud graduate of Waterford Kettering High School, Class of 1969, Danny went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era, dedicating six years of service with quiet strength and pride.
Danny's passion for performance and storytelling led him to a career as a voice actor, where his rich voice brought countless audiobooks to life. He was a member of an actors guild and took great joy in his craft, finding community and purpose through the art of narration.
Outside the studio, Danny's true sanctuary was the golf course. Golf wasn’t just a pastime; it was his life. Whether playing, watching, or talking about the sport, he found endless joy and camaraderie on the greens.
Danny is survived by his former wife, Patricia Orders, with whom he shared many meaningful years; his sons, Doug Orders and Joel (Amanda) Orders; and his beloved grandchildren, Kaidyn, William, Natalie, Derek, and Ethan. He is also survived by his siblings, Lori Schick, Kathy (Al) Carter, and Michael. He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
Danny will be remembered for his warm voice, his dedication to family and service, his deep love of golf, and the kindness he extended to those around him. His stories, both told and lived, leave a lasting legacy.
A visitation will be held on July 31, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 PM, at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Road, Waterford, Michigan 48329.
