HAMMOND, DALE AYRAULT, age 99, of Waterford, passed away September 10, 2023. He was born on February 18, 1924, in Pickney, Michigan, son to the late Oliver and Marjorie Hammond (nee Ayrault). Loving husband of the late Elsa Hazel Hammond; dear father of Tom (Jodi) Hammond; proud grandfather of Nicole (Paul) Beaufait, Kevin (Erin) Waring and Randy Dunn; great grandfather of Jason, Alexis, Steven, Emily, and R.J. Dale served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for Fisher Body/General Motors for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, especially on cruise ships, repairing salvaged automobiles and cheering for the University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions. A committal service will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to Coats Funeral Home- Waterford.
