LANDRY, CONNIE J., of Ortonville, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2026, at 74 years of age. Connie was the loving wife, soul mate, and best friend of the late Michael Landry, Sr., whom she missed deeply every day.
She was the cherished mother—lovingly known as “Ma”—of Michelle (Nathan) Johnson, Kimberly Landry, and Michael Landry, Jr.; and was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Andrew and Todd Landry. Connie was a proud and devoted Nana to Cassie (David), Ryan (Adrianna), Elysia (Caleb), Michael, Marisa, Gabriel, and Nicholas; and a treasured great-Nana to Isaiah, Apollo, Theodore, and Violet. She was the dear sister of Richard (Carolyn) Marek, William (the late Jena) Marek, Ralph (Kris) Marek, and the late Sally (the late Randy) Covert. Connie also leaves behind her beloved Chihuahuas—CJ, MJ, and Scrappy—who never left her side and brought her endless comfort and companionship.
Connie retired in 2006 after many years as housekeeping manager at the Spartan Motel in Rochester Hills. Her hardworking nature extended far beyond her career. A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, Connie not only raised her own children but devoted her life to helping raise her grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was truly “Nana” to everyone.
Connie was the family confidant—the one who listened without judgment and offered healing words when they were needed most. She was a safe and warm space, a source of comfort and strength for all who knew her. Her home and heart were always open.
An avid Detroit Lions fan, Connie made every game a tailgate party in her living room, cheering loudly and passionately. When football wasn’t on, western movies were a close second—especially those starring John Wayne.
Connie will be remembered for her unconditional love, her nurturing spirit, and the countless ways she made others feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
