DOBLESKE, CLEMENT J. “CLEM”, of Davisburg, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 11, 2026, at 98 years of age. His remarkable life was defined by love of family, boundless curiosity, and an adventurous spirit that never faded.
Clem was the loving husband of Shirley (née Chesney) for 75 years; beloved father of Cynthia (Gary) Roesler, Deborah (Tom) Mockeridge, and Laura (Don) Gilmer; and cherished grandfather of Justin, Caitlin “Cady” (Patrick), Ashley (Johnny), and Emily (fiancé Mike). He was a proud great-grandfather of Morgan, Ellie, and Charlie. Clem is also survived by his brother, Raymond (Donna) Dobleske, and sister, Mary Jane (the late Jack) Tunnicliff. He was preceded in death by his siblings Milton Dobleske, Thomas Dobleske, Dennis (Ruth) Dobleske, and Virginia Stevenson.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Clem served during World War II. After his service, he built an extraordinary career managing companies, Founder/CEO Ergomatic Systems, Inc., manufacturing air powered articulating arms.
Outgoing, easygoing, even-tempered, and endlessly inquisitive, Clem never met a stranger. He had a genuine interest in every person he encountered and always wanted to learn more. His ability to connect with people and his joy in conversation made him unforgettable. He made family, employees, and people feel appreciated. Family life was at the center of everything Clem did. He created a life filled with adventure for those he loved—sailing the North Channel in Canada, the inner coastal waterways to Florida and the Bahamas, kayaking, snowmobiling, flying, golfing, hiking, skiing, and baha bugging in the mountains of AZ. There was never a dull moment with Clem leading the way. Summers were spent at the family cottage on Dixie Lake in Davisburg MI. When the cottage was tragically destroyed by fire, Clem and Shirley rebuilt it into the home that became their permanent residence, a testament to their resilience and shared devotion.
During retirement winters were spent in Arizona, along with cherished time at their cabin on the North Au Sable River in Michigan. Clem embraced life with enthusiasm and never seemed to age. He delighted in asking everyone, “Guess how old I am?” —and loved to fill in the blank. When Clem was asked how he was doing he always replied “I’m Fabulous”.
Clem’s inquisitive mind, adventurous heart, and zest for life will be missed beyond words. He leaves behind not only cherished memories but a legacy of curiosity, joy, and living life to the fullest. For those who knew and loved him, no one will ever take his place.
