Clarence Edward Salisbury

NOTE: A VISITATION HAS BEEN ADDED FOR THURSDAY, FEB. 13 FROM 4-8pm AT THE FUNERAL HOME

SALISBURY, CLARENCE E. of Clarkston, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2025, at 91 years of age.  He was born May 12, 1933, to Nick and Ruth Salisbury.  On September 1, 1956, Clarence married the love of his life Peggy (née Riddle). They were married for 68 years.  He was a loving father to Nick (the late Marsha) Salisbury, Teresa (Scott) Eastman, and Priscilla Klaus; a grandfather of 4; and great grandfather of 2; is survived by a twin half-brother, Hubert Sizemore, Jr. son of Hubert and Ruth Sizemore Sr.

He was preceded in death by his half-brother Eugene Salisbury, Son of Nick and Mary Salisbury.  Mary passed away in 1922.  Clarence’s siblings by his mother, Ruth; Estalene Jenkins, Jean Councilor, and a twin half-brother Herbert Sizemore, son of Hubert and Ruth Sizemore Sr.

Clarence was a veteran of the US Army. He worked at General Motors for over 30 years.  When he retired from General Motors Clarence served as pastor at Harvest Baptist Church, located in Waterford, MI.  Throughout his life Clarence faithfully studied the  Bible.  His diligence equipped him to minister and lead his family and others to have a personal walk with the Lord, Jesus Christ. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. In his later years he enjoyed spending time walking. Clarence will be dearly missed, but we are comforted that he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 14, 2025, at 12 Noon, at Oakland Woods Baptist Church, 5628 Maybee Rd, Clarkston. The family will receive friends Thursday 4-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
