Cheryl Ann (Edwards) Troper

TROPER, CHERYL A. (née Edwards) passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025 at 65 years of age. She is united with her beloved husband and soul mate Kevin Troper; cherished sister of Cindy (the late Chuck Charter) Edwards, Kevin (Colette) Edwards, and Krystal Edwards; sister in law of Gary and Janet Shripka and Sue (the late Pat) Shripka; daughter in law of Bob (the late Gwen) Kelley; dear aunt of Steven, Matthew (Jeanne), Gabe S., Gabe M., and Courtney; great aunt of several nieces; and preceded in death by her parents Robert and Evelyn Edwards; and survived by her precious dog, Nikki Rose. Cheryl was a 1977 graduate of Waterford Kettering High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Kevin and they were inseparable for 38 years until his passing in 2015. Young and in love, Cheryl and Kevin packed up all they owned and headed to Colorado a place they would soon love. But, family and work would eventually find them back in Michigan where Cheryl worked in the medical field in private care and eventually as a physical therapist aide for 17 years. Independent and determined, Cheryl enjoyed many of the simple things in life, reading, camping, and time with family. She is gone far too soon, but we are comforted that she is reunited with her beloved Kevin. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 11 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 5987 Williams Lake Rd, Waterford. Family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.  In loving memory of Cheryl, donations may be made to Oakland County Animal Control, Michigan Animal Rescue League, or Christ Lutheran Church.
