Cecil Early passed away on June 12, 2025, having lived a blessed life of 97 years. He was married to his beloved wife, Louise, for 77 years.
He will be missed by children, Dennis (Kathy) Early and Barbara (Gary) Ritch; Grand Children, Gary(Shannon) Ritch, Denny (Adrienne) Early, and Jessica (Chris) Jackson; Great-Grandchildren, Justin (Samatha) Ritch, Jared Ritch, Dominick, Anna, and Gwen Early; Great-Great-Grandchildren, Genesis and Ronin; devoted brother of Robert (Mattie) Early, Elmer (Julia) Early, Coleman (Lila) Early, Johnny (Florene) Early, Everett Estil (Myrtle) Early, Luther (Shirley) Early, Argie (Jay) Taylor, Ollie (Nathan) Emery, and Mary (John) Denny.
Cecil retired From General Motors Truck and Bus after 33 years of service. He was proud to claim that he only missed 3 days of work during that time. Cecil was also Pastor at Tanyard Church for several years and also worked in the coal mines in Kentucky. Cecil enjoyed raising a big garden, canning vegetables, and loved sharing with them with his friends and neighbors. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and trapping.
We are comforted knowing he is with his beloved Louise.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Coats Funeral Home – Clarkston, 8909 Dixie Hwy, Clarkston, Michigan 48348 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Burial will take place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Pineville Cemetery, Riverview Ave., Pineville, Kentucky 40977, starting at 11:00am. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home of Pineville, Kentucky, will be assisting with the interment at the cemetery.
