CARR, CAYLA ROSE was born in Pontiac, MI on June 5, 1998. She departed this earth carrying her baby boy with her to their heavenly home on September 6, 2023. Cayla was a lead teacher at Early Explorers Academy in Waterford and a Sunday school teacher at Shalom Baptist Church in Orion. She received Christ as her Savior at an early age and grew up loving the Lord. Cayla was a three-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and soccer and graduated from Rochester Hills Christian School in 2016, and attended Oakland University following graduation. She was an avid reader; averaging over 150 books per year, as well as an accomplished artist, loving to paint in acrylics. Cayla will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend, who in turn was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Dr. Harry E. Carr and Virgil Baldwin. She is survived by her parents David and Lisa (Baldwin) Carr; her sisters Candace (Coty Stallard) Carr and Courtney (Mike Meir) Carr; her brother David Carr, Jr. with whom she shared an inseparable bond; nephews and nieces, Brayden Carr, Breukelen Carr, Briauna Stallard, Brycen Stallard, Zara Carr, Landon Meir and Bronwyn Stallard. Along with loving aunts, uncles, and her grandmothers, Alberta Carr and Barbara Baldwin. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 1 PM at Shalom Baptist Church, 3400 Morgan Rd, Orion. Family will receive friends Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Shalom Baptist Church and again on Wednesday, September 12, 2023 beginning at 11 AM until time of service. Cayla’s final resting place will be at Ottawa Park Cemetery, Clarkston near her grandfather. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.
