Carole Lynn Pesha of Waterford passed away peacefully, on May 4th 2025 at the age of 85 at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital. She was surrounded by family. Carole was the beloved wife of Philip Pesha who preceded her in death in 2017. They were married for 58 years. Carole met Phil at a party when she was 18 and decided she was going to marry him the moment they met because he was so cute. Phil was taken with her adorableness and it certainly didn't hurt that she lived on a lake. That sealed the deal for him. They had 4 children Tom (Christine) Pesha, Susan (Ken Lounds) Pesha, Cathy (Paul) Phelan, and the late Steve Pesha. Carole adored her children. She was the proud grandmother to Ross, Max, Isabel, Caleb, Mckenna, Molly, Sadie, Eamon, Taylor, and the late Connor. She had 6 great grandchildren as well. Carole lost her beloved sister Kathleen Lemanski in 2005. Carole was loved and adored by all those who met her. She was kind, loving, and wickedly funny. Her sharp wit was appreciated by all those who knew her. Carole was best friends with Donna Sturdevant for over 60 years. This cherished relationship was marked by daily phone calls. Carole worked for many years in the Waterford School district first as a lunch lady then later as a teachers assistant in special education. She adored the children as well as the teacher Elaine Mcmahon, with whom she worked with for many years. Carole lived in Waterford for over 60 years and was blessed by wonderful neighbors who looked in on her often. In recent months, she moved to The Neighborhoods of White Lake where she was surrounded by loving staff and new friends who became a second family to her. Staff often told Carole's family how much life she brought to the facility, how beloved she was, and how they appreciated her exquisite sense of humor. The care she received at the Neighborhoods will not be forgotten by her children. Carole was tiny, but mighty. She had fierce strength, and overcame many obstacles in life with grace and determination. She loved gardening and cooking, sitting on her porch and talking to all those who passed by. Carole's legacy is one of love, laughter, and her gift of connecting with others. Though we grieve her loss and will miss her terribly, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and meaning, and a heart that gave so much to so many.
