Carla Marie (Dushane) Nolin

NOLIN, CARLA MARIE, was born on May 3, 1953, in Marquette to Donna Mae (née Beauchamp) and William Dushane. Carla joined our Lord in His Kingdom on May 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her.

She leaves behind her loving daughter, Kerry Ann (John) Ange; her beloved son, Brandon Shane Nolin; and her treasured granddaughter, Lucy Ange, who brought immense joy to her life. Carla is also survived by her partner of 47 years, Maurice James Nolin III “Maurie.”

Carla was the loving sister of Sheri (Barry) Peters, William (Cindi) Dushane Jr., and the late Susan Gayle Dushane, who now rejoices with her in heaven. She was a cherished aunt to Ryan Dushane and Kelli (Aaron) Ocker, and a proud great-aunt to Addie Dushane and Rylee Dushane. Carla was also a loving stepmother to Maury (Rochelle) Nolin IV, and a caring step-grandmother to Lauren Nolin, Morey Nolin V, Melissa Nolin, and Andrea Nolin.

A remarkably hardworking woman, Carla dedicated her professional life to helping make better homes for her clients throughout Oakland County. She took pride in her work and in the relationships she built over the years through her care, dedication, and strong work ethic.

A lifelong member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Carla faithfully attended Mass there with her family since moving from Marquette to Pontiac as a child. Her faith remained the cornerstone of her life and a source of strength through every season.

Carla found her greatest happiness in time spent with family. She especially loved watching her granddaughter Lucy’s piano performances and treasured every moment they shared together. She also enjoyed spending time at the dog park with Maurie, listening to classic rock music, and sharing conversations and laughter with her siblings, Billy and Sheri.

Carla also adored all cats, especially her own beloved three companions, who brought her comfort and joy over the years.

Above all else, Carla loved our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her family takes great comfort in knowing she now rests peacefully in His loving arms, breathing easy and whole once more.
