Bradley Jason Lewis, born on August 20, 1972, passed away on January 18, 2025, at the age of 52.
Bradley earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Education from Western Michigan University and was a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst in the State of Michigan. He dedicated much of his professional life to teaching special education at Hawthorne Center and also shared his expertise as an instructor within the Behavioral Analysis program at Oakland University. His passion for education and commitment to his students left a lasting impact on those he taught and worked alongside.
Bradley found joy in a wide array of activities that reflected his zest for life. He loved fishing, hunting, playing poker, camping, woodworking, watching football, cooking, and reading books. He cherished time spent visiting his mother, staying connected with family and friends, and sharing conversations during car rides. Music was another source of happiness for him, as was living life actively and fully.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Audrey Lewis; his siblings Patricia Ann Olsen (Dale), Deborah Lee Giola (Pete), Ray Avery Lewis, and Michelle Lewis Century (Kenneth); as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Steven, Daniel, Andrew, Joshua, Rebecca, Justin, Adam, Jacob, Noah, Megan, and Ethan.
A visitation will be held in Bradley's honor on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Coats Funeral Home, 8909 Dixie Highway, Clarkston, MI 48348, from 1:00PM to 8:00PM with a prayer service starting at 7:00PM. A funeral service will take place at the Clarkston United Methodist Church, 6600 Waldon Rd., Village of Clarkston, MI 48348 on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00am with a prior visitation at 10:00am. Pastor Megan Walther will be officiating. Burial at Square Lake Cemetery in Orion Township will immediately follow the services.
Bradley's warmth and dedication touched many lives through his teaching career and personal relationships. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
