Blair Donald Dodd

DODD, BLAIR D. of Waterford, passed away August 29, 2024 at 98 years of age. Loving husband of the late Pauline (née Sadler) for 73 years; dear father of Dennis (Jeriann) Dodd, Janice (Ron) DiDonato, and the late David (Cheryl) Dodd; grandfather of Stacy (Ryan), Daniel (Cindy), Chrystal (Kevin), and Dominic (Alexa); great grandfather of Mariyah, Aaliyah, Kason, Colt, Lila, Riley, Dominic, Jr., Avalon, Gianna, and 1 on the way; brother of Ruthanna Turner, June Badder, the late Dale and Jim Dodd and the late Martha Loudermilk. Blair was a electrician by trade and retired after over 30 years. He was a licensed pilot and kept his own plane at the Oakland Airport. He never missed an opportunity to fly or to fly his family to Missouri to visit relatives. Blair and Pauline built their home in Waterford in 1956 and after retirement maintained a home in Florida where they enjoyed spending the winters. Blair kept busy working and flying as well as maintaining 16 rental homes. He enjoyed playing the organ and harmonica and was infamous for his “story” telling. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed by his loving family. Funeral service will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Family will receive friends 12 noon until time of service.
