Betty Jo (Frisch) Crabtree

Betty Jo (Frisch) Crabtree, beloved wife (widow), mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Lake Park, MN, at the age of 77. Born on January 30, 1948, in Goodrich, Michigan, Betty was the cherished daughter of Stella Bitha Liley and Edward Louis Frisch. Betty's life took a meaningful turn when she met Lawrence (Larry), the love of her life. Betty, certain from the start that Larry was her soulmate, they fell in love at first sight. They were united in marriage on April 10, 1965, and shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence. Betty raised six wonderful children. Betty is survived by her six children: Shelly (Brock) Kvamme, Lorrie (Derek) Umstead, Angie (Melissa) Allport, Michelle (Steve) Hylla, Brian Crabtree, and Teresa (Fiancé Tenesa Smith) Andrzejewski. She was a proud grandmother to Bradley (Chelsea) Tosto, Heather (Mike) Doerfler, Lindsey (Nolan) Lehman, Dwayne Metcalf, Kaye (Dylan) Richard, Stephanie Flores, Jennifer (Steven Curry) Hylla, and Adriana (Ana) Crabtree. Betty is also survived by her brother, Mike (Linda) Frisch. Betty was a beloved great-grandmother and survived by many family members and friends. Betty dedicated her life to being a nanny, in addition to raising her own children. Betty enjoyed time with family and friends along with playing games and cards. Betty was a woman of faith; her love for music and dancing was also a source of joy. Betty embodied a caring and nurturing spirit. Her giving nature and unwavering faith will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Coats Funeral Home, 3141 Sashabaw Rd., Waterford, MI 48329 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, starting at 11:00am with a visitation prior at 10am. A burial at Christian Memorial Gardens West will immediately follow the service. Reverend Chad Przeslawski will be officiating the service.
