Anna Marie Lewandowski

Anna Marie Lewandowski, passed away on May 5, 2025, after a 3 year battle with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She was born October 9, 1942, to the late Albert and Anna (Hatchtel) Lutz, in Auburn, Michigan. She was a Bay County resident before moving to the Hale in 2003 and then to Clarkston in 2008. Along with her husband, Thomas, she owned and operated Sandy's Flowers & Greenhouse for 27 years. Anna and Tom were married for 43 years.

Besides her husband, who died in 2007, she is predeceased by 3 brothers, Leonard, John, and Herman; in-laws, Nancy and Ken Kosutich; Betty and Henry Tarkowski; Loretta Lewandowski; and Debra Lutz. Anna is survived by 2 daughters, Sue (Tom) Day of Massachusetts, and Shelley (Tim) Schafer of Clarkston. 4 precious grandchildren, Olivia (Junior) Gabriel of Massachusetts, Avery, Thomas, and Luke Schafer of Clarkston; great-granddaughter, Mila Rose Gabriel; and great-grandson, Grayson Jack Gabriel of Massachusetts. They were her great joy in life. One sister, Elaine (Chuck) Malecki of Midland; and 2 brothers, Robert (Joan) Lutz, and Al (Lauri) Lutz of Ohio; brother-in-law, Jim Lewandowski of Essexville; and sister-in-law, Betty Lutz of Freeland; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews survive her, who were all special to Anna, especially a great-niece, Kim (Tarkowski) Gingerick of Bay City; and her 3 children, James, Emma, and Oliver.

Anna was a member of St. Paul Frankenlust for many years and was currently a member at St. Trinity Lutheran Church in Clarkston.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at St. Trinity Lutheran Church, 7925 Sashabaw Rd, Clarkston, MI 48348, from 10am to 12pm, with a funeral service beginning at 12pm. Officiating the service will Pastor Paul Undlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
