Ann Marie Omans

OMANS, ANN M. of Southfield, passed away May 15, 2025 at 76 years of age. Born in Pontiac, MI she was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Omans; sister of Ernie (Carol) Omans and Mary Jane (Mike) Giles; aunt of 2; great aunt of 6; and great great aunt of 2; preceded in death by her parents. After graduating from high school, Ann took her vows and was a nun for ten years. She earned a master’s degree in psychology and worked for many years for the Detroit Public Schools. She left Detroit and worked for the State of Michigan overseeing school districts compliance for special needs students. She enjoyed her cottage in Lewiston where she enjoyed solitude. A prayer service will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2:30PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD.  Family will receive friends Tuesday 1 PM until time of prayers.
