Alan Jesse Muniz

MUNIZ, ALAN J. of Waterford, passed away October 13, 2025, at 71 years of age. Dear father of Mina (Steve) Miller, Jesse Muniz, and Neeko (Alyssa) Muniz. Proud grandfather of Lochlan, Finn, Grace, Jonah, Eleanor, and Adeline. Brother of the late Henry Muniz. Alan retired from Ford Motor Company after a dedicated 30-year career. A proud graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory, formerly Pontiac Catholic, he lived a life full of energy, humor, and heart. An athlete throughout his life, Alan loved staying active—whether working out or playing any sport that came his way. A lifelong fan of Detroit sports, he rarely missed a game and cheered his hometown teams with enthusiasm. A talented musician, Alan played the trumpet and many other instruments, and he continued to enjoy casual jam sessions with friends well into his later years. He was deeply proud of his Mexican heritage and celebrated it with joy. Known for his sharp style and love of shopping, he was affectionately described as both a shopaholic and a shoe horse. Alan had a generous heart and was especially supportive of the military. Above all, he will be remembered as a devoted father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend who cherished every moment spent with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial luncheon celebrating Alan’s life will be held on November 23, 2025, with details to follow.
