WHALEN, WILLIAM J. "BILL" of Waterford, passed away September 22, 2023 at 55 years of age. Loving husband of Sandy (Jeffers) for 20 years; beloved dad of Steven; dear son of the late Nancy (the late Donald) Pockrandt and the late Ronald Whalen; brother of Diane (Joe) LeFevre; son in law of Tom and the late Arlene Jeffers; brother in law of Dan (Amy) Jeffers, Tim (Marie) Jeffers, Julie (Curt) Mount, and Laurie (Rod) Householder; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bill was a 1986 graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw. A machinist by trade, he worked for Mason Tool & Gage in Wixom. Bill was the ultimate "handyman"; jack of all trades; hands on man that could fix anything and would help anyone. Often quiet and in the background, he enjoyed his workshop in his garage tinkering on various projects, woodworking; model cars; and antique cars. Bill was a wonderful father and husband who enjoyed camping with his family, and Boy Scouts and archery with his son, Steven. He will be forever missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral service will be Monday, October 2, 2023 at 12 PM at  COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Family will receive friends Monday 10 AM until time of service. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
