He was an outstanding swimmer for the Madison Country Club Team excelling in the butterfly. He also excelled in mathematics attending a workshop at Rose-Hulman in the eighth grade. Marc was also on the wrestling team and cross-country team. He attended college at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and studied mechanical engineering, a field that would eventually provide him opportunities to travel to many counties. Marc married Kim Roberts of Wisconsin May 24, 1999. Marc and Kim relocated to Waterford Michigan in 2004, where Marc lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures; enjoying their lake home, relaxing on the pontoon, visiting with friends, neighbors, and family, helping others, attending LifePoint Christian Church, visiting with his Rose-Hulman fraternity brothers and their wives, and hosting the annual Van Norman Lake Sandbar Euchre tournament.
