SWEET, WILLIAM FREDERICK "Bill", age 90, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2023. He was born on March 25, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan, son to the late Alfred and Gertrude Sweet (Trumbull); beloved husband of Mary L. Sweet (Brown) for almost 60 years; dear father of Beth (Tom) Reaume, Eileen (Bill) Krause, and Bill (Debbie) Sweet; proud grandfather of Matt, Nick, Katie, Chris, Allison, Ben, Rebecca, Will, Alex and great-grandfather of Maverick and Annabelle; preceded in death by his siblings. Once Bill graduated from Cass Tech High School, he proudly joined the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller and was stationed in Japan and did a tour in Korea.  After the service, he moved back to the west side of Detroit where he met his future wife Mary while attending Wayne State University. Eventually, they married on June 1, 1963, started a wonderful family. Bill worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Milton Manufacturing for 42 years, until he retired. In his free time, he enjoyed golf, fishing and deer hunting. Bill will be deeply missed by all. Please keep Bill and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
