passed away, March 22, 2018 at age 87. Born July 14, 1930 in Glade Spring,Virginia, the son of William and Bessie Smith. Beloved husband of 62 years to Frances; loving father of Bill (Chelly); proud grandfather of Austin; dear brother of Frances Vestal. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings. Bill retired from GM in 1994 after 30 years of service. Always wanting to be busy, he worked for NAPA Auto Parts in Pontiac/Waterford after his retirement, and was an active member of the Masons. Bill never met a stranger and his presence will be missed by family and friends.
