HESTER, WILLIAM "BILL" DWAINE, age 78 of Waterford, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020. He was born on November 30, 1942 in Saint Louis, Missouri. Bill was an extremely hard worker; he worked for GM for seven years and later retired from Chrysler after more than 35 years of service. Bill was a car enthusiast who extended his love for cars after his retirement by working as a driver at Golling Chrysler. Bill was a faithful man who loved God and he was a longtime member of Scott Lake Baptist Church in Waterford, Michigan where he served as head of trustees and taught Sunday school. In his free time, Bill enjoyed hunting, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Judy; his children, Bill (Karen) Hester, Jeanette (Rob) Burch, Chuck Anderton, Matt (Kelly) Anderton, and Chad (Holly) Anderton; grandchildren, Shane, Paige, Katlyn, Morgan, Jesse, Courtney, Xannie, Luke, and Cade; great-grandchildren: Mariah and Liam. Bill was preceded in death by both parents Paul and Maxine Hester; his brothers Donald and Jerry Hester. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Scott Lake Baptist Church, 811 Scott Lake Rd., Waterford. The family will receive visitors two hours prior to the service, beginning at 11am at church. Please keep Bill and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
