William "Bill" Schultz II, of Pontiac, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the age of 76.

Bill was born on July 5, 1950, in Gladwin, Michigan, the son of the late William A. Schultz, Sr. and Bonnie I. Schultz (nee Borton).

Beloved husband of the late Sally Schultz, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years. Loving father of Wendy (Michael Thorpe) Schultz-Thorpe and Bill P. (Tammie) Schultz. Dear grandfather of Justin (Johanna) Thorpe, Timothy (Jordon) Thorpe, Christopher Schultz, and Matthew Schultz. Proud great-grandfather of Lucy Tate, Lydia, Wyatt, Eleanor, Olivia, and Emilia.

Dear brother of Susie (the late John) Sherwood, Mindy (Byron) Pahlman, Jill (John Butler) Johnson-Butler, Jason (Brittany) Schultz, Jeff (Jennifer) Slabic, Susie Slabic, and the late Jeanne Weber. Bill was also the dear brother-in-law of Darrell Weber.

Bill dedicated 37 years of his career to Ford Motor Company, where he worked as an electrician. Outside of work, he especially enjoyed deer hunting in Michigan and spending time enjoying the outdoors.

Above all, Bill will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and for the many memories he created throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD, 3141 Sashabaw Road, Waterford. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
