JONES, WAYNE KAIN, of Clarkston, passed away on August 18, 2023, at 74 years old. Wayne was born on July 16, 1949, in Pigeon, Michigan to parents Henry Clifford and Beatrice Augusta Jones (nee Kain). Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Radio Teletype Operator in California and Vietnam. He met the love of his life Patricia through his twin brother who was dating her sister; they married December 13, 1969. After Vietnam, he worked at General Motors, retiring from the Orion Plant after 25 years. In his free time, he was a collector of many things, hosted garage sales and loved to barter.  Wayne also loved to play cards, scuba dive, travel, camp, fix things, build things and most importantly spend time with his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia; his children, Christina (Richard) McGowen and Lisa (Thomas) Michael; and his grandchildren; Brendan, Joseph, Jack, and Margaret; and his brother Terry (Gloria).  He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to Jacqueline who was not only his niece but helped take care of him in his last days.  Wayne was preceded in death by both parents, twin brother Duane (the late Margaret); and sister Sandra.  He will be deeply missed by all. A funeral service will take place Thursday, August 24th, at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD (3141 Sashabaw). The family will receive guests Wednesday, August 23rd, from 4-9 PM.
