Obituary

NIEZGUSKI, WALTER HENRY, age 78, of Clarkston, passed away November 1, 2021. He was born on March 18, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Henry and Willamina Niezguski (nee Rodger). Loving husband of Delia for 47 wonderful years; dear father of Paul (Khanh Nhat) Niezguski; brother of Barbara (Sam) Henry and the late Larry (Sandy) Niezguski.

Wally had a broad and diverse range of talents, interests and hobbies. He was a master organic gardener, wood worker, artist, bread maker and so much more. He was a very special person who was full of love, a dear friend to many, and loved by all who knew him. He treasured his relationships and friendships as they blossomed over the years. Wally had a special connection to nature, the earth and all living things. Everyone and everything thrived in his presence making the world a better place.

Wally helped grow every group, club, or organization of which he was a part, including foremost his own loving family. His contributions to the Clarkston Area Backyard Birders Club were invaluable in growing the Club from its eighteen original members to its current roster of one hundred and seventy. He delighted in conducting "Wally's Raffles."

His delicious, totally organic heirloom vegetables enriched and strengthened his family, friends and those who stopped by his roadside stand. He served them more than nutritious vegetables, sharing tips on how to grow their own plants and ways to prepare delicious dishes.

A man of abundant talents, and diverse experiences, Wally was delighted to be able to share those stories in a chapter of a book he wrote with the friends with whom he for many years shared Monday morning coffee.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 12:00 Noon at Coats Funeral Home – Waterford. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service. The family requests that all guests wear a mask, thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
