Virginia M. Cutsinger (Virginia M. Grimaldi), 84, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.Virginia was born on November 22, 1941, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Antonio Grimaldi and Rosella Oliverio. After graduating from Pontiac High School and later the State College of Beauty, she pursued a fulfilling career as a stylist. In 1988, she followed her entrepreneurial spirit and opened Gina’s Hair Salon in Sylvan Lake, Michigan. Throughout her life, Virginia also worked for GMC Truck Assembly in Pontiac and later Costco Wholesale, where she retired in 2018.Affectionately known as “Jenna,” Virginia was a woman with an unforgettable personality and a true love of life. She was happiest surrounded by family and friends, hosting parties, shopping, preparing her favorite Italian dishes, spending time with her grandchildren, and, of course, enjoying a trip to the casino.Virginia had a way of making her presence known wherever she went. Those who knew and loved her will remember her quick wit, generous compliments, strong opinions, wonderfully bossy nature, and famously sharp tongue. Beneath it all was a woman who loved her family fiercely and brought a great deal of laughter, character, and spirit into their lives.Virginia was the beloved mother of David LaFay and his wife, Debra; Jerry LaFay; and Christina Cutsinger. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Amy Davros, Renee Keys, Thomas LaFay, and Corey LaFay.She is also survived by her siblings Emma Fortier, Gasper Grimaldi, Pete Frank Grimaldi, and Julia Bellehumeur.Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Grimaldi and Rosella Oliverio, and her siblings Mary Zywicki, Yolonda Rahbe, Tony Grimaldi, and Richard Grimaldi.Virginia lived life with humor, strength, style, and a personality entirely her own. She loved deeply, spoke her mind, and left an impression wherever she went. Her presence will be greatly missed, but the stories, laughter, and memories she created will remain with her family and friends for years to come.
