of Naperville, IL, formerly of Waterford and Kalamazoo, died November 5, 2017 at 91 years of age. Born February 9, 1926 in Hoxie, Arkansas the daughter of the late Henry and Ada Cooper. Beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Calme; loving mother of Joseph (Nancy) Calme Jr. and James (Joanne) Calme; proud grandmother of Ryan (Jessica) Calme, Jenny Calme, Christine Calme and Jaime Calme, great grandmother to Gordon and Eleanor Calme. Preceded in death by her siblings J. Woodrow (Kaye) Cooper, Maurice (Francis) Cooper, Horace (Ruby) Cooper, Cledith (Lesley) Turner and Neva LaDece Cooper. She had many nieces and nephews, and was especially close to her niece, Theresa Turner.Virginia and her husband Joseph were longtime members of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church before moving to Kalamazoo.
