Obituary

CRIVEA, VICKIE LYNN, of Waterford, passed away on June 13, 2026, at 68 years of age.

Born September 24, 1957, in Pontiac to her loving parents, James Reid and Georgia (née Waldrop) Fouts, Vickie lived a life centered on family, love, and the many bonds she cherished throughout the years.

She was the devoted mother of Christopher Crivea and Ian Crivea, and the self-proclaimed—and undisputed—"World's Greatest Nana" to Ian Anders, Jr., Jade Olive, River Mae, Curtis James, Porter Allen, Ethan Allen, and Tristan William. She was also blessed to become a great-grandmother to Ian III and Isabella M.

Vickie is survived by her sister,  Carol Whitaker and preceded in death by sisters, Jenny Buckley and Mary Fouts. She also leaves behind many beloved cousins, including Linda, Jimmy, Cathy, Patty, and along with her sisters, reunited with Judy. She held a special place in her heart for the many aunts and uncles in North Carolina who helped shape her life and make her the person she became. In return, she always tried to be the best aunt she could be to Thomas, Dixie, Lloyd, John, and Ryan.

Vickie treasured her large extended family and the countless friends she gathered throughout her life. To know her was to know her love, and she wanted those she leaves behind to remember one thing above all else—that her love for them will never die.

In her own words:

"May you never forget who you are to me and that my love for you will live forever. Family will still go on and on. Try to smile when you think of me. Our love will never end. Think of all the good times we had. Love always to my family."

— Vickie Lynn Crivea

Though her earthly journey has ended, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that love never truly ends, and that whenever they think of Vickie, they can remember the laughter, the good times, and the enduring bond that will forever keep them together.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 4-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Private interment will be held at Perry Mt. Park Cemetery, Pontiac. To post a tribute, visit www.CoatsFuneralHome.com.
