VERN', of Waterford, died July 27, 2015 at 94 years of age. Born April 28, 1921 in Highland Park, the son of the late Lawrence and Lena Sumner. Beloved husband of the late Arnetta; loving father of Leslie (Dolores) Sumner and Janis Ouzts; dearest grandfather of Kent (Jean) Sumner, Amy (Todd) Nickola, Allen (Emily) Ouzts, James (Tanya) Ouzts; great grandfather of Mason, Avery, Melena, Brinley and Jake; dear brother of the late Lyle Sumner. Aslo survived by sister in law Edith Sumner. Vern retired as a Carpentry Structure Foreman from the Pontiac Schools after 28 years of service. He was a Veteran of the U S Army serving WWII and was a member of Waterford Community of Christ Church (formerly RLDS). He also loved to fix things and putter around his house.
