THOMPSON, VALERIE J. of Waterford, passed away September 22, 2020 at 80 years of age. Loving wife of the late Brian; dear mother of Hazell (John) Grant and Nikki (Dennis) Bak; grandmother of Simon Due, Steven Grant, and Kimberly (Brian) Mastroeni; great grandmother of Talon (Lauren) and Tawney (Donald); great great grandmother of Chazz, Owen, Austin, and Warren; sister of Alan (Beryl) Hobbs; sister in law of Keith (Gabrielle) Thompson; and aunt of several nieces and nephews. Born, married, and became a mother in England, Valerie and Brian came to the United States to work and raise their family. The entire family became US citizens but she always kept a bit of England with her. She enjoyed her favorite English soap opera "Coronation Street"; drinking tea; darts; and a long standing member of The Commonwealth Club in Warren. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
