MOORE, TILFORD E. of Clarkston, went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on December 21, 2023 at 84 years of age. Loving husband of the late Maryann for 64 years; dear father of Tony Moore, Patricia (Rob) Hopkins, and the late Danny Moore; grandfather of Dustin (Jentrey), Dillon (Ingrid), and Nicole (Myles); great grandfather of Scout and Mason; brother of Betty Rose Collins; preceded in death by siblings James H. Moore, Ernest Eugene Moore, and Bessie Moore; uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tilford retired from GM Grand Blanc Center in 1998 after over 35 years of service. He was pastor of Pontiac Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed years evangelical work. After he retired Tilford was an avid sports fan, he always found a way to watch his grandsons football, basketball, and even traveled to Copperstown, NY for Little League games. He was known to stand up in the stands cheering on his granddaughters in their cheerleading competitions. His love of sports went to his favorite teams, University of Kentucky Basketball, U of M Football, and of course, the Detroit Tigers. He truly enjoyed the camping trips he would take with Maryann in their motor home. And through it all he was loved and adored as a husband, father, and grandfather. He will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12 noon  at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial follows Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Saturday 10 AM until time of service.
