SAYLES, THOMAS E. of Waterford passed away May 12, 2022 at 71 years of age. Loving husband of Lois for 50 years; dear father Tommy Wayne Sayles, Douglas (Kris) Sayles, and Tamara (Roger) Prevo; grandfather of Alyssa (Garrett), Hanna (Max), Joshua, Zackary, Jay, Mya (RD), and Makayla; honorary grandfather of Jeremy (Nicole), Cody, Haleigh (Cooper), and Justin (Kelsey); great grandfather of twins on the way; honorary great grandfather of Addison, Jaxton, Layla, and Axell; brother of William (Pat) Sayles and Robert (Lorna) Sayles. Preceded in death by siblings James, Jeanette, and Ronald Sayles. Survived by many nieces, nephews, in laws, and so many cherished friends. Tom retired from TTX Railroad after 30 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards and games with his grandchildren in the garage or poolside; playing Yahtzee, 10,000, and Sequence were some of his favorites; old cars; watching the Lions with his sons, especially if they were in the playoffs, and the Tigers with his daughter. The "Grandpa that Knows Everything" will be so dearly missed by his loving family. Funeral service will be Monday, May 16, 2022 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Family will receive friends Monday 10 AM until time of service.
