CROSSNO, THOMAS "TOM" MELVIN, of Auburn Hills MI, passed away on November 29, 2020 at the age of 78 years old.Tom was born on February 7, 1942 in Cardwell, Missouri; son of the late Melvin I. and Velvia Crossno; beloved husband of the late Nancy Crossno and the late Frida Bell; proud father of the late Mary Cutler, Melissa (Stan) Phillips, the late Edward Cutler, the late John (Shelley) Cutler, Lanay (Jeff) Jeffrey, Andrea (Randy) Foster, Thomas (Stephanie) Crossno, and Jamie (Kathy) Cutler; Tom is also survived by his loving sister-in-law and close friend Ida Mae Beasley and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; preceded in death by his brothers Leo "Darrell", Jerry and Carl Dean Crossno. Tom proudly fought and served his country in the U.S. Navy and Army in Vietnam. After his service to his country overseas, Tom served his community locally by becoming a police detective in Pontiac for 25 years. He was a member of the FOP Lodge 132 and VFW 1370. Tom was always laughing, whether it was spending his days on "Long Lake" in Alpena fishing on their pontoon or spending time with his cousins Norm and Gary and his good friends Claudia and Delbert. The family will accept guests on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 4-9PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON. Due to COVID restrictions, masks will be required for entrance and guests will be limited to 25 people at one time. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please keep Tom and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans and or the Pontiac VFW Post 1370.
