VAN ORMAN, TERRY LEE, age 82 of Waterford, passed away on August 11, 2023. He was born on May 14, 1941 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Burdette Van Orman and Dorothy Dutcher. Terry retired from GM with over 30 years of dedicated service. He was a faithful member of Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene in Waterford. He also served as President of the Pontiac Jaycees and Vice President of the Michigan Jaycees for District 21 and received the JCI Senator Award. Terry was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his time in Florida during the winter months. More than anything, he cherished and loved his family. Terry is survived by his children: Terry (Andrea Hobson) Van Orman, Jr., Tim (Crystal Hassan) Van Orman, Cece (Greg) Treece, and Jodi Paull; grandchildren: Michelle (Kevin Barnes) Van Orman, Christopher Van Orman, Justin (Jaime) Herr, Ashley (Jacob Windish) Van Orman, Jessica (Aaron) Remsing, Melissa Van Orman, Cole (Tiffany Kreymer) Van Orman, Ryan (Victoria LaFramboise) Treece, Hailey (Kyle) Kirby, Nick Treece, Chelsea (Kyle Anger) Paull, and Alexa (Luke Richards) Flury; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Marion (the late Bill) Rowan; half-sister, Linda Deneka; brother-in-law, Bob (Jan) Harper; several nieces and nephews; close family friend, Cindy Reed, and friend/personal handyman, Mike Bradsher. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Sharon Lee Van Orman; siblings: Bill Van Orman and Coralynn Douglas; half-sisters: Ernie Gatermann and Bobbie Hayslip. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 4-8pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD, and again on Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene or American Cancer Society in honor of Terry.
