Obituary

Susan Kay Smith, age 59, of Waterford, passed away May 2, 2023. She was born on November 11, 1963, in Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of the late Wayne Smith and Sallye Studebaker (nee Pickering), step-daughter of Rob Studebaker. Loving sister of Tim (Beverly) Best, Joe (Mae) Best and Maureen (Jay) Crosby; dear aunt of David, Kathleen (Dalan), Bryant (Crystal), David (Megan), Shaun (Kim), Betsy (Grant) and Joshua. Susan worked for General Motors for over 37 years. She excelled as an Executive Assistant and loved her work family. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending Northridge church where she was active with their prison ministry and homeless outreach programs. She also enjoyed traveling, needlework and cross stitch. She was a die-hard Detroit Redwings fan! Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, 2:00 PM at Coats Funeral Home-Waterford. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston, Michigan.
