O'CONNELL, SUSAN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, October 14, 2021; survived by her son Brian (Ashley) Doss, grandchildren Carson and Caston, and longtime partner Art Northrop; she was born on November 4, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan daughter to the late John D. and Rose O'Connell; sister to the late Sharon Smith, Mary Doss, John Patrick O'Connell and survived by brother James O'Connell. Susan was raised in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. She graduated from Immaculata high school in Detroit and also attended the University of Michigan. Susan treasured all members of her family and loved being with each one. She had a vivacious & captivating personality and was always concerned with making sure people enjoyed special events and that they might be able to live, love and laugh about life. In her free time, she had a love for music but most of all loved her son more than words can say. Susan will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
