Susan Mae McCullough, age 73, of Holly, Michigan, passed away on September 11, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1953, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late Charles Ellsworth Wallace and Berniece Mae Wallace (née Collins).

On June 26, 1971, Susan married Michael W. McCullough, beginning a life together filled with family, memories, and many adventures. Susan was a devoted mother to her four children, David, Kimberley, Catherine, and Matthew, and a proud and loving grandmother to her ten grandchildren. Her family was an incredibly important part of her life, and she treasured the time they shared together.

Susan had a creative spirit and a lifelong love of art and painting. She found happiness in creating something beautiful and appreciated the simple things that made life special. She also loved getting in the car and simply going for a drive, enjoying the scenery and seeing where the road might take her.

Some of Susan’s happiest memories were made camping with her family throughout Michigan. Whether exploring somewhere new or returning to a favorite place, she enjoyed being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with the people she loved.

Susan had a special ability to make the most out of everything. No matter where she was or what life brought her way, she found ways to enjoy the moment, create memories, and appreciate what she had. It was this spirit that made even ordinary days feel meaningful to those fortunate enough to share them with her.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Michael W. McCullough; her children, David, Kimberly, Catherine, and Matthew; her ten cherished grandchildren; and her siblings, Mary Wilkinson, Charles (Chuck) Wallace, Michael Wallace, and Elizabeth Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ellsworth and Berniece Mae Wallace, and her siblings, Barbara Wallace, and Jeffery Wallace.

Susan will be remembered for her creativity, her adventurous spirit, her love of family, and her ability to find joy wherever life took her. The paintings she created, the roads she traveled, the camping trips she enjoyed, and, most importantly, the memories she made with her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.
