of White Lake, died, November 11, 2016 at 83 years of age. Born November 1, 1933 in Loomis, Nebraska the son of the late Earl and Lenore Thorell. Beloved husband of the late Robin Thorell; loving father of Heidi (Ken) Richardson and Toby (Mary) Thorell; cherished grandfather of Rachel, Ross, Tyrus and Teagan; dearest brother of Jim (the late Karen) Thorell, the late Charlie (Vera) Thorell, Gloria (Harry) Mitchell and Dennis (Nancy) Thorell. Mr. Thorell was a veteran of the U S Army, serving in the Korean War. He graduated from Kearney State College and attended the University of Nebraska for one year where he played football for the Cornhuskers. He also played minor league baseball for the New York Yankeersquo;s. He later received his Masterrsquo;s Degree in Education from Michigan State University. Stuart worked for 42 years with the Waterford School District. He started in 1958 ndash; 1965 as a Phys. Ed Teacher, from 1965 ndash; 1970 Vice Principal of Mason Jr. High, 1970 ndash; 1983 Waterford Twp. High School Principal; where he also coached football and baseball and ended his career form 1983 ndash; 1999 as Waterford Mott Principal.
