Steven David Edwards, age 58, passed away at home on August 20, 2026 surrounded by family.  He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan to his loving parents, David and Julie Edwards.  Steven was raised in Clawson, Michigan, where he attended and graduated from Clawson High School in 1986.  He later pursued his passion for video and broadcast arts at Specs Howard School, graduating in 1990.  Steven worked in radio as a host, sharing his personality and love of music with listeners.  He later met the love of his life and best friend, Amanda in 2003, and the two were united in marriage on February 14, 2018.

Steve lived a life centered around the people and things he loved most.  He was a true homebody who was happiest in the comfort of his own home, watching a good horror movie, listening to music, or simply enjoying the quiet moments of everyday life. Music was an especially important part of his life, with artists such as Black Sabbath and The Misfits among his favorites. Steve also had a huge collection of rock n roll, South Park, and horror memorabilia, to name a few.

Steve was a man who often kept his emotions close to the surface but rarely let others see just how deeply he felt.  Beneath his sometimes-quiet tough exterior was a sensitive and caring person who loved deeply, even when he didn't always know how to express it.

Steve is survived by his loving mother, Julie Edwards; his beloved wife Amanda Edwards, his children, Allyson Shaeff (Austin), Jeffrey Kaltz, Tiffany Edwards; and estranged sons, Josh and Tyler; his stepdaughter, Alexis Miller; his grandchildren Bennett, Fiona, Sullivan and Hunter; his sister, Susan Edwards; his niece, Hannah Edwards and great-nephew, Zayn Brown; and his loving canine companions, Coco and Trixie.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, David Edwards. Steve will be deeply missed by his family and friends.  A memorial luncheon will be scheduled at a later date.
